Se l'applicazione necessita di funzioni di regolazione autocorrettive, se è richiesta la registrazione dei dati di esercizio, se l'interfaccia deve essere configurabile o valvola e attuatore devono essere inseriti in un sistema di Plant Asset Management tramite diagnosi avanzata, l'unità di comando attuatore giusta è il modello AC.

L'AC dispone di un'interfaccia parallela configurabile liberamente e/o di interfacce per i sistemi bus di campo correnti nell'automazione di processo.

Fanno parte delle funzioni di diagnosi un protocollo eventi con indicazione degli orari, il rilievo della curva caratteristica della coppia, il rilevamento di temperature e vibrazioni nell'attuatore o il conteggio di messe in moto e tempi di marcia del motore.

Oltre alle funzioni base, l'unità di controllo AC offre una serie di opzioni per soddisfare esigenze speciali. Tra queste figurano il ponticellamento dell'avvio, per allentare le valvole dalla sede fissa, oppure funzioni per prolungare il tempo di manovra, per evitare colpi d'ariete sulle tubazioni.

Punti chiave nello sviluppo dell'AC 01.2 sono la semplicità d'uso e la facile integrazione degli attuatori nel sistema di controllo. Attraverso il grande display grafico è possibile adattare il controllo alle esigenze attraverso la guida del menu, in alternativa con il software AUMA CDT tramite collegamento senza fili Bluetooth. La parametrizzazione può essere eseguita anche dalla stazione di controllo in caso di collegamento bus di campo.
